Please bow upon entering and leaving the mat.
Shoes must be worn in the bathroom.
Please have impeccable hygiene. Nails must be short.
Workout gear must be free from tears and clean at the start of class.
Nogi gear must not have snaps, zippers, or pockets.
Remove all jewelry.
Be scrupulously vigilant of the safety of your training partners.
Be free from the influence of intoxicating drugs or alcohol during class.
Cover any bleeding wounds immediately and clean any blood you’ve left on the mat.
Please take the day off if you are sick and contagious.
Please be on time. But if you’re late, enter class quietly without disturbing it.
Always refrain from using profane, abusive, or hurtful language.
Don’t fight, do Jiu-Jitsu.
Line up for the beginning of class in rank order with higher ranked students to your right.
Training isn’t competition. Don’t brag about submitting your teammates.
Be attentive and stay on topic during instruction.
Please silence your phone.
Do your best to foster a welcoming environment. Greet your instructor, teammates, and visitors warmly.
